I am not sure if you are aware of this, but Toyota works with a specific protocol, the OBDM. The OBD2 adaptor doesnt support this protocol. I had a OBD2 connector and tried it on my Chev Sonic, Opel Corsa and my Tuna. On the Sonic, i could see turbo boost, air flow, revs etc. Same as for the Opel. But my tuna, to no avail. It doesnt register the tuna.

To add to this, i see on ebay there are diagnostic tools that support the OBDM protocol. But these are expensive and i assume you want to use it for the Torque app on android? Works great for other cars, but not the tuna unforTUNAtely.
