Fuel gauge not dropping to empty

Hi All,

I drive a 2013 Fortuner, I need advice the fuel gauge doesn't drop below quarter empty.
I have replace the cluster unit last week. It went down and I fill up and now again its stuck.

Who replaced it for you or was this a do it at home thing.

If it was done at toyota if so take it back to them. Fortuner should still be under warranty!!!!

If the cluster was changed and the fault persists it could possibly be the sender in the fuel tank.

Exactly.... you are spot on. Toyota replace these often.

Did you get this fixed in the end? Mine is doing the same fuel gauge shows quarter tank but fill up 77.5 liters at the fuel station. Would also like to have mine resolved.

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 to 20 min, reconnect and monitor it again.

If that did not help, I'm sure it's the sender unit in your tank.

fortuner / hilux fuel gauge repair

We repair this issue takes around 15 minutes and you are good to go at a fraction of the cost of replacing the complete instrument cluster
