Purchase advice

Morning guys

Apologies if this is in the incorrect section.
I have the opportunity to buy a 2015 Toyota Fortuner 2.5D manual with 56000kms for R280 000.
From what I have seen on the various online car sites this seems like a pretty decent deal.

However I have a few questions:
1. Does the 2.5 engine have decent power? I see it is 106kW. I was looking for a 3.0 but if this deal is good then the 2.5 will work. Currently I have a 3.2 Mazda BT50 and I enjoy the power
2. I REALLY wanted an auto gearbox because I am unfortunate enough to sit in heavy traffic and I do long trips quite often. Does the 2.5 come with cruise control? This will make the manual manageable
3. Should I rather wait for a 3.0 auto or is this deal too good to pass up?

Thanks in advance
Devon

I think the 2.5 might disappoint if you are used to the 3.2 - although I have never driven a 2.5 Fortuner before. Whether the 2.5 Manual has cruise control or not, I'm not sure how it would make it more manageable? :hmm:

Test drive the 2.5 to see if the power will be sufficient for you.

HI,

I have the 2.5 4x2 Auto and it really drives nice.

I estimate the Mazda/Ford to weigh about +-250kg more than the Fortuner.

I have driven the 3.2 Ranger Auto.It didnt make me want to sell the fortuner for the ranger.

I did upgrade the Shocks to make it feel better on the long trips.
