Not a very good option. Very slippery and steep roads.

We went down Naude's last year June holiday with a Conqueror trailer no problems.
The road from Rhodes to the top was OK, but down not in a good condition.

Fox, you must drive the pass, very nice, windy, snow. Cars coming from the front in the snow. Woman screaming, children crying. Very strange smell in the car. Only you can do it.

I work in that area but has never been to Naudes Nek. The places I drive to is also spectacular, there is a section of tar called Satans Nek, ofter covered in mist. Very much like Drakensberg. We are building a water purification works and then pumping it up to the top of the mountains via a series of 3 pump stations. That is probably why I do not make an effort to go on organised 4x4 trips. I see these beautiful areas virtually daily. The one place that I completed recently took 3/4 of an hour to do 22km and then I walked down the mountain to get to the end of the operation, another hour or so. There are still some areas where there are only the "tweespoor" roads that we "caused" and of course baboons and vultures. The best is that I get paid to do this, as they say, somebody has to do it, why not me.
