Hwange to Mlibizi Ferry and road conditions on towards Kariba/Mana Pools

Looking to travel from Hwange to the Mlbizi ferry but have been advised that the ferry is not working for the week we are in the area (early September). Can anyone give me information road conditions to Kariba along the back road round Lake Kariba.

Thanks John

The road from Mlibizi to Kariba is a normal gravel road. We were warned it as very difficult when we were there in 2010 but it was not.
We went through the tribal trust lands from east of Matusadona to Kariba and saved about a days travel and it was the best part of the trip.
