@RobK
I hear it is quite a job fitting a roof rack on the new Tuna.

Yes it is, because you have to remove the ceiling panel to do so. It took the guys at Eezi Awn about 4 hours to do the job. It also makes the selection of rook rack quite important and that's why I chose the Eezi Awn one . It's relatively easy to remove ( 20 nuts) and it only leaves behind a flush track of roughly 40 x20mm.

Got it sorted, by making an L frame from Connect-it.co.za fittings and a Tentco Bundu Awning. R350 for the fittings, about an hour labour and R1505-00 for the awning.An awning that fits for under R2k!

Had a look at the Tentco Bundu awning today, it can work if you create a bracket to raise it above the fin when opened. I'm busy designing something to address this, I'll post a pic when done.

Thanks as it turns out I'm having a look at one today. I'm not convinced it will accommodate the rear "fin" when the cargo door is open, let's hope.

Tentco bundu awing would be my guess. They are rather well priced at R1500. Take a look at them and let us know what you think

Has anyone fitted a rear awning to the new shape Fortuner?

I would like to fit an awning to the rear of my 2017 Fortuner but I am not sure how to accommodate the rear fin when the cargo door is open. It protrudes 200mm above my roof rack, has anyone solved this?
